Analysis of psychological variables predicting stress and sports-academic engagement in judokas.

The objective of this research was to know the relationship predictive variables stress and commitment in sports academic context adolescent judokas based on different personal characteristics, such as sex level. Material methods: A selective methodology used, with a retrospective ex-post-facto design. sample consisted 111 competing (59 men 52 women) aged between 11 19 years, all them students regulated secondary education. Results: In general, effect size large like Sport Task Coping; medium Distancing Coping short Emo- tion Coping. correlational analysis interest showed existence negative resilience commitment, both fields. Second, two clusters were extracted from using Ward’s method taking into account interval provided by squared Euclidean distance standardized Z scores generating dendrogram. analyses carried out show groups similar characteristics each other rest. results verified context, therefore, practice could be used means improve coping strategies field.
